Matters arising:
* Beley Bridge planning application. This was eventually approved by the Central Committee, after a hitch when they included development of the adjacent steading as a condition.
* Flooding at Cardene. Problems are not resolved, but the drains have been cleaned out recently. Recent heavy rain caused flooding at the Stravithie junction of the Beeches road.
* Neighbourhood watch. Unfortunately no-one was able to attend the recent AGM. Signs are awaited.
* The date at which the Fairmont application will come before the Planning Committee is still to be confirmed, but may be in January. There was some concern regarding the economic viability of the business following recent press reports of losses, but it would appear that this is not something that the Committee can consider when deciding on the plans.
* New water main: still no official confirmation of the project, but some local landowners have been approached. The Secretary has asked Scottish Water for assurance that the proposed increased size of main between Boarhills and Fairmont St Andrews will meet current and future needs of the community, should the development go ahead.
* There has been an outline planning application for a house at Forrester’s Lodge, Stravithie.
* It is proposed to have a site meeting next summer at the footbridge in Dunino, in order to decide how to progress this project. Other funding sources are to be explored.
* The Community Council may be faced with a £200 bill from our web site hosts. Alternatives will have to be sought, although we would be reluctant to lose the services of Fabiene Raeside, who has done such a good job of updating it for the last few years.
